Our Work
Beech Tree Removal
This customer contacted us after an arb report was carried out, confirming the tree presented fruiting bodies of fungus Kretzscmaria deusta, this poses a risk of soft rot and even catastrophic brittle failure.
We were tasked with safe removal of the tree which was surrounded by property, a listed footpath and a car park. Over the space of 3 days, we removed the tree by climbing and using rigging & lowering techniques whilst ensuring its surroundings remained intact. We teamed up with JW Dowding (a local agriculture and plant business) to assist with timber removal, resulting in a quick turnaround and happy customers.
Weymouth Site Clearance
The opportunity arose for us to attend and carry out a site clearance to allow new homes to be built in an area local to Weymouth, Dorset. We had to completely remove all vegetation, and trees as necessary, on a site that had minimal biological benefits to the local environment. Before we arrived to begin the work, we visited the site multiple times and worked closely in correspondence with Abbas Ecology (ecology experts) to ensure there were no habitats and the site wasn’t home to any protected wildlife such as newts. We also remained in contact with residents who lived local to the site to minimise inconveniences to them.
For the clearance we used a tractor and mulcher flail to manage large areas of scrub and bramble and a 13-tonne slew with tree shear to clear numerous trees safely (minimising damage to the trees that would remain). All of the ‘waste’ was turned to woodchip and left on site to be used in the green spaces. After completion, the site was successfully signed off and will be prepped for development.
